New End Mill Grades Introduced to Range of TaeguTec Products ( Dec. 12. 2013 )




TaeguTec has launched two new solid carbide coated end mill grades that improve a tool’s life and offers industrial users in the metal removing sector overall better performance on a range of applications.



All decked out in black, the TT5515 and TT5525 grades make it possible for TaeguTec to now outpace the challenges imposed on the end mill machining segment.



Two development and implementation of these two new grades were driven by the high demands of the mold and die, aerospace and automotive industries which all require smaller, advanced precision components machined by solid carbide end mills that have the best wear resistance.



With the introduction of the TT5515 and TT5525 grades, TaeguTec guarantees overall better performance and improved tool life.



The TT5515 is a high-wear resistance, high performance grade recommended for medium-speed to high-speed machining, covers all ISO ranges and is ideal for the machining of parts made from alloy steel, pre-hardened steel and hardened steel.



On the other hand, the TT5525 is optimally balanced with wear resistance and anti-chipping properties and is perfect for general machining of carbon steel and alloy steel.



Both grades will be applied to a slew of TaeguTec lines such as the ApexMill, ArtMill, RigiMill, SolidBall, StarMillPlus, SolidFeed, RibMill and RoughMill.



During several comparison tests against some of the leading competitors, TaeguTec’s TT5515’s tool life was extended by 30 minutes when machining a battery core. On a gas engine cover made from carbon steel, TaeguTec’s TT5515 was also extended by two pieces made from alloy steel and on a workpiece made from tool steel
